The Tibetan Friendship Group (TFG) is a non-political voluntary organisation dedicated to supporting Tibetans who have fled their homeland to seek refuge in India. We have been assisting Tibetan communities since 1969. Our patron is His Holiness the Dalai Lama. TFG seeks and matches sponsors with School Students, Nuns, Traditional Performing Arts Students, Disabled Students and Elders in Tibetan Settlements in India, as well as raising funds and seeking donations for numerous projects in these Settlements.
Unlike many organisations and charities, no money is deducted for administration and other costs and every dollar donated goes to Tibetans in need.
To help Tibetans, the TFG raises funds for institutions below.
Education- support the education of Tibetan refugees to empower and provide future stability
Lha Charitable Trust, Yong Ling Creche, Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society, Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts, Tibetan Children Village
Disabled- provide equal opportunity to all to nurture talent and skills
Nyingtobling School for Handicapped Children
Health- enable hospitals to provide health care services to Tibetan refugees
Elderly- improve quality of life for elderly refugees
Old People’s Home, Tibetan Refugee Self help Centre Darjeeling
